As part of its encouragement and knowledge transfer efforts and promotion of collaborative research, the OTRI (Office for the Transfer of Results from Research) of the University of Granada held a virtual technical conference on July 14 with AERTEC, an engineering and consultancy company specializing in aeronautics, with the aim to explore opportunities for collaboration in the R&D&I space with research teams and laboratories in the ICT area of UGR.
Pedro Pablo Sánchez (Director of Innovation), Rafael Ortiz Benítez (Head of the Aerospace and Defense Systems Area), and Benjamín Colomer García (Head of Projects of the Aerospace and Defense Systems Area) participated on behalf of AERTEC with a general presentation of the company and its innovation projects IMASAT [Integrated Modular Avionics for Small Air Transport] and AS-DISCO [Audio Suite for Disruptive Cockpit Demonstrator], both led by the company as part of the Horizon 2020 Clean Sky European aeronautical program.
On behalf of UGR, a total of 9 researchers from the following laboratories and research teams participated:
- ‘Singular 5G Telecommunications Laboratory’
- Research group ‘TIC-157 Concurrent Systems’
- ‘Nanoelectronics, Graphene and Two-Dimensional Materials Laboratory’
- Research group ‘TIC 117 Circuits and systems for information processing (CASIP)’
The Conference concluded with one-on-one meetings between AERTEC and the different research groups and participating laboratories.
CHALLENGES OF UGR-EMPRESA
UGR’s OTRI organizes technical conferences with companies and entities of any size and sector, both out of its own initiative and at their request, in order to generate new opportunities for collaboration with researchers and research teams.
